Nethra Gururaj, a cinematographer hailing from Bengaluru, secures a prestigious spot in the 2024 Oscar Academy Gold Rising Program, positioning herself among the most promising young filmmakers globally. With a Master’s degree in Cinematography from the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles, Gururaj adeptly blends writing, directing, and production design to craft visually captivating narratives.
The program, a two-month internship held in Hollywood, Los Angeles, offers invaluable opportunities for students and recent film school graduates to network with industry professionals and engage with leading production houses. Gururaj’s selection for the Cinematography track marks a significant milestone in her burgeoning career.
