The creation of additional Deputy Chief Minister posts has resurfaced in state politics after the Lok Sabha election results. Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwar stated that this decision will be made by the party superiors.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Dr. Parameshwar emphasized that the party superiors would determine the need for an additional Deputy Chief Minister. He indicated that no additional post would be created if everything is fine within the party, leaving the decision to the High Command.

In the newly formed central government, five Union Ministers from the state have been appointed. Dr. Parameshwar extended his congratulations to them and highlighted the pressing issues in the state that require attention. Key priorities include addressing GST payments and obtaining permissions for various irrigation projects. The challenges faced by these five ministers are significant and must be addressed promptly.

Kumaraswamy, who has previously served as the state’s Chief Minister twice, is now a minister at the Centre. It is expected that there will be cooperation from the Centre. Dr. Parameshwar expressed hope that Kumaraswamy will protect the state’s interests and that the Union Ministers will resolve state problems. He expressed confidence that these issues will be addressed at the central level, warning that failure to do so would be detrimental to the ministers and their party.

The state awaits the allocation of responsibilities among the new ministers. If state problems remain unresolved, the blame will be directed at the central ministers. However, Dr. Parameshwar hopes that such a situation will be avoided.
