Australian cricketer David Warner shared his thoughts in a heartfelt conversation on the latest episode of the Delhi Capitals Podcast. The experienced IPL player opened up about his journey with the Delhi Capitals, his affection for India, and his final World Cup for Australia.
Warner became Australia’s leading run-scorer in T20Is during the T20 World Cup 2024 match against Oman at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Reflecting on this milestone, he said, I feel great. Now, it’s time to focus on playing as much IPL and franchise cricket as I can. Playing at this level for over a decade is tough, and it’s important to bring in young talent to keep Australian cricket strong for the future.
Discussing his time with Delhi Capitals, Warner remarked, Delhi has been a significant part of my career. They gave me a chance at the start, and now I’m back towards the end of my career. I’m forever grateful. He reminisced about his early days with the team, sharing how veteran players like AB de Villiers and Glenn McGrath offered valuable advice on balancing work and personal life.
Warner also expressed his love for India, calling it organized chaos. His affection for the country is evident in his viral Instagram reels, dancing to Indian music, and speaking in Hindi. When asked to choose between Baahubali, Pushpa, or KGF, Warner said, It’s hard to choose; they’re all amazing, and the actors are unbelievable.
