In the final leg of the FIH Pro League season, the Indian men’s hockey team triumphed over reigning World Champions Germany with a score of 3-0. Despite Germany attempting 12 Penalty Corners, they couldn’t score due to India’s strong defense. The goals were scored by Harmanpreet Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, and Gurjant Singh in the 16th, 41st, and 44th minutes, respectively. In the first quarter, both teams played evenly.

India’s forwards, Sukhjeet Singh and Mandeep Singh, created numerous chances, while goalkeeper PR Sreejesh made crucial saves, including a notable one from Gonzalo Peillat’s powerful flick. India took the lead in the second quarter through Harmanpreet Singh’s goal, assisted by Hardik. The pace slowed in the following minutes, with neither team capitalizing on chances.

Sreejesh continued to deny Germany, ensuring India’s 1-0 lead at halftime. In the third quarter, India extended their lead with goals from Sukhjeet Singh and Gurjant Singh, showcasing strong possession and attacking play. India maintained their 3-0 lead in the final quarter, successfully defending against Germany’s attempts to score. With this victory, India secured three points, maintaining their third position on the points table. Their next match is against Great Britain on Sunday.
