Prayers were conducted on the road due to a lack of space in the mosque, leading to an unnecessary issue, as highlighted by former Minister Ramnath Rai. He emphasized the unity of God across religions, stating that there is only one God for all.
In response to media inquiries on Friday regarding the Namaz performed on the Mangalore road, Rai mentioned that religious programs for all faiths are conducted, and it is unjustified to escalate such a minor issue. He clarified that the Congress does not support sectarianism, whether minority or majority. The incident, which occurred momentarily, has been resolved, and the case has been canceled. Rai noted that similar incidents have occurred previously without such commotion.
When there is insufficient space in the mosque, it is normal for prayers to be conducted elsewhere, and it should not be blown out of proportion, he said. However, he observed that this particular incident was manipulated to create communal discord.
