Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, Kota Srinivasa Pujari, has demanded that the state government hand over the suicide case of Maharshi Valmiki Development Corporation Superintendent Chandrasekaran to the CBI or conduct an investigation by a retired High Court judge.

During a visit to Chandrasekaran’s house in Kenchappa Extension, where CID officials were present, Pujari spoke to Chandrasekaran’s wife, Kavitha, and their two children, offering his condolences.

Later, speaking to the media, Pujari stated that Chandrasekaran, who was the director of Maharishi Valmiki Development Corporation, committed suicide. Describing Chandrasekaran as an honest officer, he noted that the corporation was established for the development of education and health of poor children, but Rs 87 crores had been misappropriated for other purposes. In his death note, Chandrasekaran mentioned an officer’s name. Pujari called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to address this issue, insisting that the responsible Minister be fired to avoid suspicions of involvement.

Pujari demanded the government immediately pay Rs 25 lakh to Chandrasekaran’s family. He warned that if Minister Nagendra is not removed, there will be protests both inside and outside the Assembly, and he would consider filing a complaint with the Governor.
