With a vision to create a greener Karnataka for future generations and a commitment to environmental preservation, Adamya Chetana Trust continues its relentless efforts. Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, President and Managing Trustee of the organization, unveiled the 439th edition of “Green Sunday,” an initiative dedicated to nurturing saplings and fostering environmental consciousness.
On this occasion, around 108 saplings from diverse species were planted and cared for in the Hoskere premises near Minigandhinagar of Ullalu Ward, Yeshavantpur Assembly Constituency on Sunday. The event, conducted in collaboration with children from various schools, exemplified the collective resolve to safeguard our planet.
Innovative approaches to sustainable living were also highlighted, with food preparation methods ensuring zero waste and conversion of non-LPG waste into fossil fuel for cooking purposes. Adamya Chetana Trust remains steadfast in its mission to educate children and youth about the significance of environmental stewardship.
Expressing concern over the gap between environmental education and action, N. Kadarappa, President of the Valagerahalli Residents’ Union, emphasized the need for collective responsibility in protecting the environment. Implementing eco-friendly practices in daily life can significantly contribute to environmental conservation.
The event witnessed active participation from students representing various colleges, including Jayaram from the RSS Environmental Movement, Nagesh Hegede from Chinnara Chetna, and Prakash and Ramamurthy, organizers of Green Sunday.
