Reject BJP To Preserve Dravidian Identity: AICC Secretary Mayur Jayakumar

Congress leader, AICC secretary and Karnataka in-charge Mayur Jayakumar has called upon the Tamils in Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency to reject the communal BJP to save the ideological and political value of the Kannada nation.
Speaking at a Tamil community friendly meeting, he said Tamils and Kannadigas share a Dravidian kinship, adding that Dravidian identity is a legacy of progressive, harmonious life. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dividing the country with false, communal and divisive ideologies. He said that he should be careful not to allow this.
Former Chief Minister S Bangarappa’s contributions to the Tamil community are unique, he laid the foundation for the prosperity of the Tamil community by providing a site for the Tamil Community Bhavan in city. He was a staunch leader of the poor regardless of language, caste and creed. His daughter is a Congress candidate and the Tamil community should pay tribute to Bangarappa by supporting him. As they rejected the BJP in Tamil Nadu, the Tamils in Karnataka also wanted to reject the communal BJP.
Famous actor Sivarajkumar spoke and appealed for his wife’s vote. Senior Congress leader M Srikanth said that the Congress party is committed to the welfare of the Tamil community. Geetha Shivarajakumar requested to vote for her. Leaders HC Yogesh, former mayor Nagarajakankari, Devendrappa were present.
