Hassan Pen Drive Case, Adjournment Of HD Revanna Bail Application, Court Notice To SIT

The Court issued a notice to the SIT in connection with the case of sexual harassment of a woman and postponed the hearing till Friday. Seeking anticipatory bail, former Minister HD Revanna had filed a petition in the Special Court of People’s Representatives in Bengaluru.
The Special Court of People’s Representatives, which heard the anticipatory bail application, contained all the bailable allegations in the FIR. Thus, how an anticipatory bail application can be valid, asked the senior counsel for Revanna that you could not have appeared directly in the trial court.
There are bailable allegations in the FIR. But an application has been made to the Magistrate to add the charge of rape. In addition to this, HD Revanna has submitted the certificate. The details of the application filed by the SIT are not yet available. HD Revanna should be granted interim bail, the lawyer appealed.
The court issued a notice to the SIT in this regard and adjourned the hearing till Friday. Special Court Justice Santosh Gajanana Bhat issued an order instructing the SIT to file objections to the anticipatory bail application.
