Udupi
Brisk voting was observed at 52 polling booths situated in the Maoist-prone areas of Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts in Karnataka. Voters queued up early in the morning outside polling stations and cast their votes amidst stringent security measures. These polling booths are situated in the hilly and forested regions of the districts, necessitating the deployment of additional paramilitary and police forces to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process.
