Must read

El Gouna

Ramit Tandon’s performance at the El Gouna International Open squash, a USD 198,000 PSA Platinum event, was halted by Peruvian world No. 3, Diego Elias, in the third round. Elias secured a dominant victory with scores of 11-2, 11-4, 11-2 in just 35 minutes, advancing to the quarterfinals. Indian world No. 40, Tandon, despite the loss, gained valuable insights from the match as he gears up for next month’s World Championships in Egypt.

Tandon had a commendable run in the tournament, defeating French world No. 11, Victor Crouin, in the second round after comfortably winning against Egyptian world No. 62, Aly Hussein, in the opening round. However, facing the former world No. 1, Elias, proved to be a tough challenge, and Tandon couldn’t maintain his winning streak.
