The Uttar Pradesh basic education department has created question banks for over 25 lakh students in classes 9 and 10 across 27,000 schools affiliated with the UP Board. These question banks are designed to help students prepare for competitive exams like engineering and medical entrances.

The question banks were developed collaboratively by the NCERT, New Delhi, along with the State Institute of Science Education (SISE) and experts from universities, colleges, and schools. Each question bank contains chapters on science and mathematics, with around 70 questions per chapter covering different types like multiple choice, short, and long answers.

These question banks, aligned with the NCERT syllabus, will reinforce key science concepts and enhance students’ understanding. They have been sent to the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Lucknow and will soon be available to students. These resources aim to improve learning outcomes and support students in exam preparation, ultimately strengthening their grasp of the subjects.
