Rahul Gandhi, a leader of the Congress party, accused certain media outlets of continuously attacking him for criticizing the policies and beliefs of the BJP and the ruling government at the Centre, thereby distorting his reputation nationwide. Speaking at a large election rally, he criticized the BJP, accusing it of creating division in the country and causing harm to millions of people.
Gandhi stated that despite facing relentless opposition from the BJP and the RSS, he remains committed to his ideological differences with them. However, he highlighted the consequences of his actions, noting that media channels associated with the ruling party constantly tarnish his image.
He criticized PM Modi for neglecting violence-affected areas like Manipur and accused the BJP of promoting discord among people. Gandhi emphasized the need for the next government to actively support the poor and address the growing inequality in the country.
Additionally, Gandhi questioned why Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan targeted him instead of fighting against the BJP. He raised concerns about the misuse of governmental institutions by the BJP to suppress dissent and change the fundamental nature of the country, contrasting it with the Congress party’s acceptance of India’s diversity.
