A 6-year-old boy lost his life after being crushed under the wheels of a goods vehicle, as this incidence took place at the Vinobhanagar area on Monday.
The victim, identified as Ashwant, the son of Sashi kumar and a resident of Kolageri in KHB Colony.
According to the police, the fatal incident occurred around 11 am on Siddaiah Road, near the CT Market traffic police station. Ashwanth was squatting behind the goods vehicle along Siddaiah Road when, unbeknownst to the driver, the vehicle reversed and ran over him, resulting in fatal injuries.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the traffic police suggest that the driver of the cargo transport vehicle was negligent, leading to the tragic accident. As a result, the vehicle has been impounded, and the driver has been detained for questioning.
Authorities have registered a case at the CT Market Traffic Police Station, initiating further investigation into the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
