After securing a name for herself in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, actress Anushka Shetty is all set to mark her debut in the Malayalam film industry. Anushka Shetty is set to play the female lead in the upcoming fantasy thriller ‘Kathanar -The Wild Sorcerer’. A report by sources suggests that the actress has charged a remuneration of Rs 5 crore for her Mollywood debut.
The reports suggest that the actress’ stint in ‘Baahubali’ made her famous all through India and, especially as it created a Malayalam-speaking diaspora which made her bag a role in the upcoming film. Reports suggest that the actress charged up to Rs 3 crore before ‘Baahubali’ and following that she raised her remuneration and is said to have got Rs 6 crore for her last film ‘Miss Shetty and Mr Polishetty’.
Directed by Rojin Thomas, the movie stars Jayasurya and it went on floors on March 11. Anushka is said to play the role of a celestial fairy in this film. The film is said to be made with a budget of Rs 75 crore and the makers have wrapped up three shooting schedules already. Meanwhile, actress Anushka Shetty was last seen in the Telugu film ‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’. The film received good reviews from fans and it marked the actress’ successful comeback.
