In response to the enforcement of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), security forces in the national capital have intensified their vigilance. The Delhi Police, in collaboration with Central Paramilitary forces, conducted flag marches in Jagat Puri and Khureji Khas areas as part of proactive measures.
DCP Vishnu Sharma of Shahdara underscored the ongoing comprehensive surveillance efforts across Delhi to ensure citizen safety. He reassured the public regarding the peaceful implementation of the CAA, emphasizing its intent to grant citizenship rather than threaten Indian Muslims. Surveillance operations, including drone monitoring and social media oversight, are being diligently executed.
To address opposition discontent, the Delhi Police, supported by the Rapid Action Force (RAF), increased surveillance across city streets. DCP Joy Tirkey of the North East district affirmed their commitment to safeguarding citizens, particularly in previously unrest-affected areas.
