The Software Development Institute (SDI), IAF, held a grand Passing out Parade (POP) on 23 February 2024, commemorating the successful culmination of the No. 18 Software Engineers Course (SEC). Seven officers from the Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) branch completed 24 weeks of intensive training and are now designated as Avionics Software Engineers, poised for posting at SDI.
Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit AVSM VM VSM, Deputy Chief of Air Staff, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, welcomed by Air Vice Marshal KN Santosh VSM, Commandant, SDI. Air Marshal Dixit commended the graduating officers and underscored their pivotal role in enhancing the IAF’s operational potential. He urged them to stay updated with evolving technology and maintain unwavering professionalism.
The Chief Guest presented trophies to outstanding officers. The ceremony drew the presence of defense and civilian dignitaries from DRDO, DPSUs, and other establishments in the Bengaluru area.
