“Marigold Teaser Illuminates Tinsel Town

Following the success of his last release, Bachelor Party, actor Diganth Manchale once again shines a light on tinsel town with the teaser of his latest film, Marigold. Diganth debuts a never-before-seen persona in the teaser, portraying an angry young man on a quest for his pound of gold. The teaser’s impactful dialogues, Diganth’s rugged appearance, and his performance have pleasantly surprised fans.
This fast-paced comedy thriller, set against the backdrop of gold smuggling, marks the collaboration between Diganth and debutant director Raghavendra M Naik. Naik, with a background in corporate films and experience as an assistant in nearly a dozen Kannada films, steps into the director’s chair for the first time. Diganth is paired with Sangeetha Sringeri, the actress who gained attention after her appearance in the recent edition of the Kannada Bigg Boss reality show. The film also features Bala Rajwadi, Cockroach Sudhi, Sampath Maithreya, Yash Shetty, and Vajrang Shetty in significant roles.
The teaser boldly references current events, including thinly veiled mentions of Café Coffee Day founder Siddartha and Kingfisher Airlines’ Vijay Mallya. Renowned dialogue writer Raghu Niduvalli, known for his work on Bell Bottom, lends his talent to Marigold, receiving praise for his contribution after the teaser’s release.
Chandrashekar, acclaimed for his cinematography in films such as Moggina Manasu, Paddehuli, and Chakravarthy, is the director of photography. Veer Samarth provides the musical score. Raghuvardhan, director of the Prem-starrer Gunavantha, transitions into a producer role with Marigold.
“The film has surpassed our expectations. Despite the release delay, our team is thrilled with the outcome,” stated the producer. Director Naik revealed that the film revolves around four youths initially marketing ‘Marigold biscuits’ but getting entangled in a gold-smuggling conspiracy. He confirmed Diganth’s extensive transformation for this thrilling role. From the trailer, it’s evident that Diganth, long associated with the ‘doodhpeda’ image in Sandalwood, is poised to break free and deliver action-packed thrills on screen.
