In a bid to promote good health among the youth of Yeshavantpur constituency, MLA ST Somasekhar inaugurated the newly constructed SLN swimming pool in Kanaminike Colony under Kumbalagud Gram Panchayat. Recognizing the importance of quality recreational facilities in rural areas, Somasekhar highlighted the absence of such amenities and the financial challenges faced by the rural population in providing swimming training for their children. During the inauguration, MLA Somasekhar expressed appreciation for the efforts of Manjunath, the owner of SLV swimming pool, and Kumbalagud village panchayat member. He commended their commitment to identifying and nurturing rural talents, not only in sports but also in academics. Somasekhar emphasized the role of the SLN swimming pool in offering affordable and quality swimming training, catering specifically to the needs of the rural population. As the summer season approaches, the MLA noted that people often turn to swimming pools to beat the heat. Acknowledging the willingness of individuals to spend considerable amounts for swimming, Somasekhar reiterated the importance of providing affordable and quality swimming training to benefit the residents of rural areas.
