Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said the BJP is in talks with its ally JD(S) over seat sharing for the MLC elections. Speaking to media persons, he said that former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and JD(S) Legislative Party leader HD Kumaraswamy have held the first round of meeting in Bengaluru to discuss fighting the council polls together. Elections will be held for six Council seats soon and the meeting has discussed the seat sharing issue, he said and added that another round of meeting will be held before finalising the list.
Joshi clarified that said that no talks have been held regarding seat sharing for Lok Sabha polls. It is just a hearsay that both the leaders have discussed on Mandya parliamentary seat. No such discussions have taken place. After the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya, the BJP will hold talks with HD Kumaraswamy on Lok Sabha seat sharing and submit the outcome of the meeting to the national leaders to take a final call, added Joshi.
