Arun Matheswaran, the director, shared some behind-the-scenes insights into the making of ‘Captain Miller.’ He revealed that the idea for the film had been brewing in his mind for the past decade, centered around the concept of an Indian soldier in the British army. When the script was complete, Arun felt that Dhanush would be the perfect fit to portray ‘Captain Miller.’ Speaking about his experience working with Dhanush, Arun praised the actor’s versatility, stating that Dhanush is adept at handling any role. Describing the collaboration as amazing, Arun expressed that he learned a lot from the seasoned actor and emphasized Dhanush’s dedication to his craft. He mentioned that around 40% of the film consists of action sequences, with the remainder focusing on the character’s journey, making it relatable for the audience. Regarding the casting choice of Shiva Rajkumar, Arun shared that initially, he had planned for Tamil actors, but circumstances led him to approach the Kannada superstar. Arun stated that Shiva Rajkumar perfectly matched the character and highlighted the brilliant performances of both lead actors, Dhanush and Shiva Rajkumar, in the film.
