Sankranti Celebrations Promote Unity And Harmony, Says Bandemath President

Sankranti is a symbol of relationship where caste and religion are kept aside in Indian culture and all communities eat sesame seeds and talk well in harmony, said Sri Satchidananda Maha Swami, president of Bandemath. Speaking at the Sankranti Evening program organized by North Karnataka Friends Charitable Trust at Bandemath, Kengeri Suburb of Yeshavantpur Assembly Constituency, he said that Makar Sankranti festival is one of the festivals celebrated by Hindus. He said that the farmers threshing the crops they have grown and worshiping the pile of davas grain in the field, the Makar Sankranti festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm to follow the footsteps of the farmer and work with the farmers for 365 days of the year by washing, decorating and dressing them. Prabhakar Lauder, President of North Karnataka Friends Charitable Trust, said that the trust is ready to do good social work. During the time of Covid, when many people were struggling between life and death, the trust stood on behalf of the people who were living in hardship by providing food kits. With the cooperation of ST Somasekhar, MLA of the constituency, about 2 lorries of food kits have been sent to the people of North Karnataka and their work is commendable. North Karnataka Friends Charitable Trust President Prabhakar Lauder, Honorary President Neelakanta Yaragal, Former BBMP Member R. Anjanappa, Nishant Somesekhar, VV Satyanarayana, Former Zilla Panchayat President G. Mariswamy, BJP Nagar Mandal President Anil Chalageri, Ullal Ward Former President Sasikumar , Sulikere Gram Panchayat Member Mohan, Spot Nagaraj, Dr. Anupama Panchakshari, Javare Gowda, Harish, office bearers of the Trust and others were present.
