Former MLC Mahantesh Kavatagimath, a BJP ticket aspirant from the Belagavi Lok Sabha seat, demonstrated his political strength in Savadatti town. The occasion was the inauguration of the Mahantesh Kavatagimath Foundation (MKF), commemorating his 58th birthday celebrations.
The Union Minister of Coal and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the MKF in the presence of former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, former Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore and around 70 seers of various mutts of the state. Several organisations and individuals felicitated Mahantesh Kavatagimath on this occasion. With this, the senior leaders succeeded in sending a message to the BJP high command that he is a strong candidate.
Addressing a gathering, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi lauded the contribution of three generations of Kavatagimath family to the cooperative and health sectors. He said, being an MLC for 12 years and being a chief whip of the Legislative Council, Mahantesh hasn’t had a black mark in his political career so far, which is a rare quality.
Meanwhile, Joshi advised Kavatagimath to focus on skill development among youths along with the health and education sector. He said there is a lot of demand in the world for Indian doctors, nurses, teachers and yoga teachers.
