As the International League T20 (ILT20) approaches, the Gulf Giants, owned by Adani Sportsline, kicked off their season two journey with a jersey giveaway event at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Head coach Andy Flower presented jerseys to star players like Carlos Brathwaite, Dominic Drakes, Sanchit Sharma, and Aayan Khan. Expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, Flower, the Zimbabwean legend, expressed pride in being part of the Adani Sportsline-owned Gulf Giants. He emphasized their determination to defend the crown after a successful inaugural season in 2023. Flower highlighted the significance of the team’s jersey colors, representing the natural orange and golden hues of the desert in the Gulf countries. He commended the Adani group’s support and pride in having a team in the ILT20. The Gulf Giants will kick off their ILT20 campaign with a challenging match against the Sharjah Warriors. Flower acknowledged the tough competition in the league and emphasized the team’s goal to secure a playoff spot. Despite the pressure, Flower sees the initial game as an opportunity to set the tone for a successful season. Flower also praised the Adani Sportsline group for their unwavering support, recognizing the challenges of preparing the team within a limited timeframe due to players’ participation in other tournaments.
