Kerala Blasters FC will look to continue their impressive home form when they take on FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi today in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season.
The Blasters have scored in each of their last 16 matches at home, making their stadium a stronghold. However, they face a tough challenge against FC Goa, a team with a strong record against Kerala Blasters, having won 11 of their 20 encounters – the third-highest in ISL history.
Currently, Kerala Blasters sit in ninth place with 11 points from nine games, while FC Goa are in sixth with 12 points from eight matches. Both teams are vying for their 50th clean sheet in the competition, with Kerala Blasters struggling defensively against Goa, failing to keep a clean sheet in their last 19 meetings.
Kerala Blasters have been in good attacking form, with Jesus Jimenez scoring in six consecutive matches. Noah Sadaoui’s attacking runs also pose a constant threat. The Blasters have scored 11 second-half goals this season, the most in the league, showing their strength after the break.
FC Goa, on the other hand, have been potent in attack, averaging two goals per match and with standout performances from Armando Sadiku, who scores every 73 minutes. Goa’s dynamic forward play, with the highest number of forward passes per game, could pose a serious threat to the Blasters’ defense.
