Inauguration of the grand Sri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be held in a grand manner on January 22. On the other hand, coincidentally, the same stone which Prakash Shilpi, a famous sculptor of the city and a devotee of Hanuman, observed for carving the idol, was chosen to make the idol of Ramlalla. Thus there is a special connection between Rama of Ayodhya and Hanuman devotee.
Sculptors Prakash Shilpi and son Puneet Shilpi have been engaged in sculpting for many years. It is special that both are true Hanuman devotees. They bring stone from Mysore valley for the idols they make. When he went to bring the stone in this way, he chose, and later left behind for some reason, the rock is now the statue of Ramlalla. Sculptor Arun of Mysore chose the same stone that Prakash Shilpi left behind for the idol of Rama. Also, he has decided to carve Hanuma Murthy for Sahasra Anjaneya temple under construction in the city from the same stone from which Rama was carved. Puneeth Shilpi said, the idol of Ramlalla was made by Arun from Mysore. Apart from this, Prakash Shilpi wants to make a Hanuman idol in the rock where the idol of Ramlalla was carved. We have asked him to send a part of the stones sent to Koppala for carving the Sri Rama idol. Srinivas will send these stones. We have decided to make a Hanuman idol from this stone and give it to the Sahasra Anjaneya temple which is under construction in the city, said Puneeth Shilpi.
