Construction of 17 New Fire Stations At Rs 320 Crore In The State, Minister Krishna Byregowda

Minister Krishna Byre Gowda instructed the authorities to build new fire stations in growing and needy cities and save people from fire accidents.

According to the 15th Finance Commission norms of the Central Government, the State Fire Brigade will be allocated Rs 329 crore for the year 2022-23, the money is sanctioned. Fire Brigade Director General of Police Kamal Pant presented an action plan at Vikas Soudha on Monday regarding the use of this money.

At this time, Minister Krishna Byre Gowda gave an important instruction to the officers, The funds allocated by the Center for the fire brigade of the state should be used effectively. The construction of 17 new fire stations in different parts of the state with this money is a good development. However, the construction of these stations should not be nominal and new stations should be built in fast growing and needy cities, he said.

Recently, fire disasters have been increasing in parts of the city. The number of casualties is also increasing. There is a possibility that this amount will increase further in the next summer, and the common people are also worried. Therefore, precautionary measures should be taken to avoid fire accidents. In this regard, the fire brigade should be upgraded, modern equipment should be purchased and new vehicles should be purchased in addition to the required stations. He suggested that these works should be completed by the end of February and the tender process should be completed as soon as possible.
