Former Minister BC Patil has alleged that the Congress government in the state is corrupt and inefficient. He was speaking after participating in a protest organised by the BJP   against the incident in which a woman was stripped and assaulted by a Belagavi woman. The government has acted irresponsibly in the incident where the woman was stripped and assaulted and the entire state government is naked. The law and order situation in the state has deteriorated and what the police department is doing, he said.

Cases of continuous atrocities against women: Women are being subjected to continuous atrocities in various acts including foeticide. Corruption in the Congress government has crossed the limits. Chief Minister,  Deputy Chief Minister and Ministers are competitive in making money. Patil alleged that there was competition over which of them would make more money and there was zero development.

The state government is anti-farmer. The BJP has been protesting against the corrupt government. When I was agriculture minister, a sprinkler set cost Rs 1,850. Today it is priced at Rs 4,200, there Is nothing wrong with It. He alleged that the burden was being put on the farmers.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that he will waive interest on short-term and medium-term loans if he pays the principal. Farmers are finding it difficult to survive. In such a situation, how is it possible to pay the principal of the loan to the farmers,  asked BC Patil. If the government was genuinely concerned about the farmers, it should have waived off completely. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that the government will give Rs 2,000 per hectare to farmers as alms. We gave a compensation of Rs 13,000 per hectare last year, Patil said.
