The highly anticipated Kundeshwara Lakshadeepotsava festival unfolded in the divine surroundings of Kundeshwar deity, with vibrant celebrations on Tuesday night. The festivities commenced on Sunday, marked by a series of rituals, and the entire town of Kundapur was adorned with captivating colourful lights.
The religious ceremonies included Punyaha Vachana, Devanandi, Dwadasha Narikela, Maha Ganapathi Homa, Sampoorna Navagraha Homa, Durga Homa, Sadyojatadi, Adhivasa Yaga, Poornahuti, Brahmakashabhisheka, Mahapooja, and other sacred rituals. The culmination of the day’s events featured the grand Maha Anna Santarpane in the afternoon.
Adding a cultural flair to the festivities, a Veerasha Sena Yakshagana play was enacted by children’s Mahila Kota. The entire day resonated with devotional prayers, soulful singing, and lively bhajans.The chariot procession showcased Janapada and cultural exhibitions, creating a vibrant ambiance for devotees. As part of the cultural program, Nitya Sanchana was presented by Nitya Vasanta Natyalaya starting from 7 pm. The Deepotsava attracted thousands of devotees who immersed themselves in the divine atmosphere, making the celebration a memorable spiritual experience for all.
