At the inauguration of the 4th Olympic Games 2023 held at Sri Swami Narayana Gurukula International School on Mysore Main Road, Bangalore, Sri Swami Narayan Sri Theertha Swarupa Swamiji emphasized the importance of hard work for sports success. He cautioned against overestimating opponents, highlighting that excessive confidence often leads to failure, citing India’s recent World Cup defeat. GK Anil Kumar, a Karnataka Ranji cricketer, shared that victory and defeat are part of the natural course in sports and should be embraced with sportsmanship. International athletic expert Meet Tadani stressed that self-confidence paves the way for overcoming weaknesses on the path to achievement. Nagabhushan K. S. Matanadi, Principal of Sri Swami Narayan Gurukula International School, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that genuine effort always yields results, regardless of expectations of rewards or failures. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with over 96 school children actively engaging in the sports activities. Notable personalities including Sri Harivallabha Swamiji, GK Anil Kumar, Meet Tadani, University Sportsman K. Vishwas, International Athletic Pradeep Senthil, and Principal KS Nagabhushan graced the occasion.
