Bengaluru

A seemingly innocuous case of social media infidelity took a drastic turn in Bangalore’s Maruti Barangay, leading to the arrest of a couple, Kiran and Vidyarani. The discord began when Vidyarani engaged in an illicit relationship with a man named Ramprasad while her husband was at work. Upon discovering the affair, Kiran, in a fit of rage, broke Vidyarani’s mobile phone. Seeking retribution, Vidyarani devised a shocking plan. Pretending to be her husband, she sent a message to the police and investigative agencies, threatening to detonate an RDX bomb in Bangalore. The police, tracing the message to Kiran’s phone, swiftly intervened, leading to the arrest of the couple and their alleged accomplice, Ramprasad. The complex web of deceit unfolded as investigators delved deeper. Vidyarani had used her husband’s phone to send the threatening message, later deleting it to cover her tracks. Superintendent of Police, Mallikarjuna Baladandi, confirmed the registration of an FIR at the Anekal police station and announced the imminent arrest of Ramprasad in connection with the incident. The saga, sparked by clandestine online liaisons, serves as a cautionary tale highlighting the potential dangers of unchecked social media interactions. In a bizarre turn of events, a love triangle culminated in a false bomb threat in Anekal’s Maruti Barangay, resulting in the arrest of Kiran and Vidyarani. The tumultuous chain of events began when Vidyarani, while at home, engaged in an extramarital relationship with a man named Ramprasad, unbeknownst to her husband. Upon discovering his wife’s affair, Kiran smashed Vidyarani’s phone in a fit of anger. Seeking vengeance, Vidyarani, in a misguided attempt, impersonated her husband and sent a threatening message to the police and investigative agencies, warning of an RDX bomb planted in Bangalore.
