Under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, permanent drinking water has been launched for the people of rural areas, MLA S.T. Somashekhar said. Launching the work under the Jal Jeevan Mission project in the villages under Chunchanakuppe Gram Panchayat of Yeshavantpur Assembly Constituency, he said that the work of permanent drinking water supply from Manchanabele Reservoir is already in progress. He said that by constructing an overhead tank, water will be supplied to every house 24 hours a day. Chunchanakuppe Gram Panchayat Vice President Ramu (Ramanjaneya) said that due to the lack of rain, drinking water in the rural areas has become scarce, and MLA S.T.Somashekhar has dug bore wells in the villages in need of drinking water so that there is no problem in drinking water for the public in Yeshwantpur constituency. He expressed his appreciation that he has given a permanent contribution to the people of the constituency by making the drinking water system reach every house. Chunchanakuppe Gram Panchayat Vice President Ramu (Ramanjaneya), former president Gangarevanna, Ramohalli Gram Panchayat President Venugopal, Gram Panchayat members Sukumar, Prasanna Rudra, Basavaraju, Renuka Kumar, Narayana, PDO Nilavva Andapalli, leaders Revannasiddappa and others were present.
