Gas Cylinder Explosion In City Leaves Five Family Members Injured

In a morning tragedy, a gas cylinder explosion in Maruthi Layout, Anekal, Bengaluru Urban District, has left five family members, including a child, with serious injuries. The incident reportedly occurred around 5:30 am when one of the family members switched on the light in the house. The injured victims, identified as Jamal (32), Nazia (22), Irfhan (21), Gulab (18), and Shahazad (9), hailing from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, were staying in a rented house owned by Manikanta. The explosion caused significant damage to the house’s windows, roof, and a car parked in front. Local resident Surya recounted, I heard an explosion early in the morning. They were staying in the house for rent. There were three children, and they suffered serious injuries. They were shifted to the hospital in an ambulance. Some neighbor house windows were also damaged because of the explosion. The fire department and Konanakunte Police are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the explosion.
