The winter session should not be just a session of protest. Home Minister G Parameshwara said the real issues of the region should be discussed. Speaking after a meeting with police officials, he said, the purpose of the protests may be right. However, there is a notoriety that the session is held here to protest itself. So, we are trying to talk to the concerned departments and resolve their issues within the session to minimise the protests. He stressed that the real issues of the region should be discussed in the session.
I have received information about the preparations made for the session, which is scheduled to begin from December 4. 3,500 police personnel have been deployed and personnel from different districts will also come. I have instructed them to make arrangements for food, accommodation and drinking water very neat. They are preparing for it. We will conduct the session to ensure that no untoward incident takes place, he said.
