The State Government is very stable under the leadership of Siddaramaiah. There will be differences in politics, which does not mean that the Chief Minister will change the Deputy Chief Minister, said Senior Congress MLA RV Deshpande. He was speaking to media persons in response to the statement made by some Congress MLAs on the change of Chief Minister.
Reacting to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Dr HC Mahadevappa’s visit to Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara’s house and discussed various issues, he said, some people can come together and discuss, which is good in a sense. Good suggestions for the growth of the party may come from discussions. The Siddaramaiah-led government is doing a good job. Out of the five guarantees announced by the Congress, four have been implemented, he said.
The economic situation was not good after the BJP government. When we came to power, we had to allocate more money to guarantees. Therefore, funds are not available for development. The Chief Minister has promised to give money for development works. It is our duty to strengthen the government. We don’t have any differences. Some people create speculation, which we don’t stress on, he said.
I am not aware of any MLA undergoing Operation Lotus, he said. Asked if he would get a Ministerial berth in the coming days, he said, Ministers are selected for many reasons. I don’t regret not getting a Ministerial berth. The district and the state should develop, he said.
