The vibrant Vijayadashami path movement organized by the Ganavaeshdharis of Vijayanagara, a division of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, took place with grandeur and devotion in Kengeri. Starting at 8 am on Sunday morning from the Sri Ganesha playground in Kengeri, a suburb of the Yeshavantpur Assembly Constituency, the procession of Ganesh Dari traversed through the main road, culminating its journey at the Sri Ganesha playground near the Raghavendra Swami temple. The path movement featured a portrait of Bharatambe placed in two open vans, accompanied by the Bhagava flag and Vayada Vaibhava. Women adorned the path with colorful rangolis in front of their houses and offered flowers in reverence to Bharatambe’s portrait, warmly welcoming the Patha Sanchalana. Notably, a substantial police presence was arranged to ensure smooth traffic during the event. The procession witnessed thousands of volunteers from Kengeri Upanagar and surrounding branches dressed in traditional attire, marching along the roads, drawing significant attention. Among the dignitaries and participants present were Bangalore Metropolitan Karyawah Karunakar Rai, former Corporation members R. Anjanappa, Umesh Shetty, BJP Nagar Mandal President Anil Chalageri, Deepak Shetty, Santosh, Jayaram, Nagaraj, K.R. Sudhir, Vishwanath Reddy, Mirle Varadaraj, and many others. The event not only symbolized celebration but also showcased a sense of reverence and unity among the community, reflecting the cultural richness and the spirit of togetherness during this significant festival.
