Haveri

Minister SS Mallikarjun chaired the preliminary meeting for Lok Sabha elections.

There is no faction in the Congress party, everything is all right. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are fighting day and night to strengthen the party. The idea of factional differences is only a creation of the BJP. No leader should discuss the issue of alliance in Lok Sabha constituencies, DK Shivakumar had said and there is no wrong in it, Minister HK Patil said.

Speaking to the media ahead of a preliminary meeting for the Lok Sabha elections, he said, Ashok Pattana quoted state Congress in-charge Surjewala as saying that Ministers will change after 30 months   after coming to power. But that is not the case in the state. Now everything is fine, it could happen after two years. Ashok Pattana has not said anything to support this, he said.

On the issue of Ministers buying cars during the drought, he said, These cars may have been ordered before the drought. They have come now. It was booked a long time ago. This is not a car ordered and taken during the drought.

We are holding an important meeting hee ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The Congress is the strongest in Haveri Lok Sabha constituency. We have not only won 6 seats but also implemented guarantees. We have made people aware of its benefits. Our actions have been able to win the trust of the people, he said.

The mantra of unanimous unity will win us over. More than 20 MPs from the Congress party will be elected to the Delhi Parliament under the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar. People are completely fed up with the BJP rule. The state has been neglected by the central government. When elections are held on Mahadayi, Cauvery and Krishna issues, BJP leaders lie and leave, he said.
