In response to recent speculation suggesting a potential alignment shift by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar towards the BJP, JD-U National President Lalan Singh vehemently refuted these claims, emphasizing Nitish Kumar’s steadfast commitment to the JD-U. Singh clarified that Nitish Kumar’s recent remarks expressing his enduring friendship with BJP leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were misinterpreted by certain sections of the media. He stressed that Nitish Kumar’s personal relationships with BJP leaders do not indicate a political alliance with the saffron party.

Singh highlighted the resilience exhibited by Nitish Kumar despite facing opposition and betrayal from the BJP during his alliance with Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav. He underscored that the BJP’s attempts to undermine Nitish Kumar during the 2020 Assembly elections have not swayed the Chief Minister’s firm political resolve.

Neeraj Kumar, JD-U MLC and spokesperson, echoed Singh’s sentiments, dismissing the BJP’s interpretations of Nitish Kumar’s statement and emphasizing the solidarity and strength of the INDIA alliance. Both Lalan Singh and Neeraj Kumar’s statements collectively reinforce the JD-U’s unwavering support for Nitish Kumar as the alliance leader, firmly dismissing any rumors or speculation regarding a potential shift in political alliances. Their assertions emphasize the party’s unity and commitment to their current political stance, underscoring the baselessness of any rumors regarding a change in the political landscape.
