Dasara, Deputy Commissioner Instructs Spectators To Enter Venue One Hour In Advance

There may be a rush as the air show is being held during Dasara after a long time. Therefore, on October 23, the day of the air show, the spectators have to enter the venue one hour in advance, Deputy Commissioner KV Rajendra informed about the preparedness of the elephants and cavalry for the air show and jumboo savari.

Speaking to the media after witnessing the final phase of the Gajapada and Cavalry Kushalathopu exercise today, Deputy Commissioner KV Rajendra said that October 23 is Ayudha Puja and October 24 is Vijayadashami day. In this context, we have conducted kushalathopu exercises for elephants and cavalry three times. The exercise is final and will be rehearsed inside the palace for three more days. The deputy commissioner informed that the personnel of the elephants, cavalry and armed reserve personnel will conduct the final leg of the exercise inside the palace.

The air show is taking place after a long time. The air show exercise will be held on October 22 and the air show will be held from 3 pm. On the same day, the evening parade will also be held. A pass will be arranged for the same. The pass holders  have to come to the ground before 2 pm for the air show.  

There is no street fest proposal in front of us this Dasara. The tourism department has asked for funds to conduct the event. There is a debate on this. Stating that there is no proposal before us for street fest during Dasara, the Deputy Commissioner said that Chief Minister had asked us to do programmes to help local artistes during Dasara this time.

KV Rajendra said that the programmes have been planned by bringing together local and other artistes and informed them about the tax exemption given to tourist vehicles. We will look into its extension and take further action, he said.
