Centre Gives Nod For Air Show During Dasara, Deputy Commissioner Inspects Site

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had requested the Central Government to grant permission to hold an air show to attract people during the world famous Dasara. The central government has given permission to hold an air show in this regard.  Deputy Commissioner Dr. KV Rajendra visited the grounds at Bannimantap and reviewed the venue and the modalities for conducting the air show.

On this occasion, the DC held a meeting with Mysuru Air Based Group Captain DK Hoja and discussed the date and time of the venue of the air show.

  It has been decided to celebrate dasara, the nada festival, in a traditional manner. Dasara lighting will be held at a distance of 135 km from the city. Major circles, roads and government heritage buildings will be illuminated. Each circle will be illuminated with government guarantee schemes, Somnatheshwara temple and Chandrayaan models. Dasara festivities in the cultural city   will be lit up this time too. A model of ISRO’s Chandrayaan project is being established. In addition, the five guarantee schemes of the Congress Government will be unveiled.

In addition, a model of the UNESCO-recognized Somnatheshwara Temple will be decorated with dasara lights this year. The CESC has decided to extend the time for viewing the lamp. The 15-day Navratri festival, which will be held from October 15 to 24, will be illuminated with lights.

A total o 119 km of roads including major highways on the outskirts,   the city’s JLB Road, Irwin Road, Chamaraja Double Road, Albert Victor Road, Sayyaji Rao Road will be illuminated in and around the palace and in 135 circles of the city.
