BJP State President Naleen Kumar Kateel alleged that the attack on Hindu houses during the Eid festival was a pre-planned act.
He visited Ragigudda and the rioters who were injured in Meggan Hospital on Thursday and later spoke at a press conference at the district BJP office and said that he has received information from eyewitnesses. He urged the Government to hand over the riots   to a judicial inquiry.
Ganesh Chaturthi was held before the Eid procession. The procession took place in a peaceful manner. After the Ganeshotsava held in Ragigudda, the Eid procession was held. During the Eid procession, a cutout of Tipu, Aurangzeb was made showing the undivided  unbroken India and referred to it as the Muslim  Empire. This is meant to anger the Hindus. The Police Department has failed to clear it, Kateel thundered.
When the riots happened, the Police force was less. Stones were pelted on the Superintendent of Police. The Police have no protection, the failure of Police stands out. Targeted on the boys who participated in Ganeshotsava, women were identified. The BJP State President mentioned three points that there was a deadly attack on those who came to rescue.
There is no doubt that this is a premeditated act. Muslims rioted by using women in the procession. Women and elderly were not seen. Christian and Hindu houses were pelted with stones. No stone is thrown on a Muslim house. He said that there was an attack on Hindu volunteers.
A case has been filed against those who came to protect the women. Those with no criminal background are jailed. Â Â Hindus were targeted and sent to jail when the District In-charge Minister visited. Â
