Megastar Chiranjeevi has had a mixed year in terms of his film career. He achieved a significant milestone with the Sankranti release of ‘Waltair Veerayya,’ which became the biggest hit of his career. However, he also faced a major setback with ‘Bholaa Shankar,’ directed by Meher Ramesh, which received criticism for its outdated treatment.
On Chiru’s birthday, the announcement of his 157th film, tentatively titled ‘Mega157,’ was made. This film will be directed by Vasishta, known for helming the blockbuster ‘Bimbisara.’ The pre-production work for ‘Mega157’ has already begun, and shooting is expected to commence in 2024.
Chiranjeevi also has another project, ‘Mega156,’ which is being produced by Gold Box Entertainments, a company owned by his daughter, Sushmita Konidela. The director for ‘Mega156’ is yet to be officially announced.
Interestingly, it appears that Chiranjeevi is keen on completing his 156th film first before moving on to ‘Mega157.’ The latter will be produced by UV Creations, and renowned cinematographer Chota K Naidu will be behind the camera for this project. Fans of the Megastar eagerly await both of these films, hoping for more cinematic magic from one of the industry’s most iconic actors.
