District CEN Police Busts Cyber Gang Fraud On Telegram

The District CEN police have succeeded in busting a network of fraudsters who are now active in the district and a cyber gang of fraudsters is active in the district. The fraudsters contact the public through telegram chatting, after that, they make a good investment plan and gain trust. First,they give good returns on 3 investments. Then lakhs of rupees. They cheat into making investments. Thus, two educated women from the district were duped by the gang. A resident of Raibag, Dr. Shilpa Shiragannavara and Asha Kotiwale, a resident of Nippani, were the victims of the fraud. Dr. Shilpa lost Rs 27,74,000 while Asha lost Rs 41,000. The two had filed separate cases at the District CEN Police station. The Police immediately freezed the account where the money was deposited. The cyber gang, which was cheating on Telegram, has freezed accounts in 21 different banks and seized Rs 3 lakh and Rs 72,50,000  in the bank accounts of the fraudsters.  . Now, the Third JMFC Court   has ordered to re-credit the money to the account of the concerned. It has come to light that this cyber gang was working outside the state and created a fake account. A special team has been formed to nab the gang of fraudsters. We are collecting details of 21 bank accounts. Investing money online is very dangerous and the public should be careful, District Superintendent of Police Dr Sanjeev Patil said. On the other hand, the rate of cyber attacks on 67 percent government and essential services companies increased by more than 50 percent during 2022-23,  according to a new report
