Shamsher Singh Gogi, a former Congress MLA, criticized the Hooda Congress for a communication gap that he believes led to the party’s defeat in the Assembly elections. Gogi lost the Assandh seat to BJP’s Yoginder Singh Rana by 2,306 votes. He pointed out that Bhupinder Hooda and his son Deepender were to blame for the loss.

Gogi expressed dissatisfaction with the state leadership’s response to Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Assandh. He said the state leadership was unhappy with the visit and that polarization had occurred just before the elections. Gogi claimed that Congress would not have lost if the election had been managed properly and that the public wanted a Congress government.

Bhupinder Hooda had previously stated that the decision on the Chief Minister position would be left to the party’s high command. Following the election results, a Congress delegation, including leaders like KC Venugopal and Ashok Gehlot, met with the Election Commission to discuss concerns. Hooda described the outcome as surprising and raised questions about the electronic voting machines after Congress initially led in postal ballot counts but fell behind in the EVM tally. The BJP is set to form the government for a third consecutive term, having won 48 seats, while Congress secured 37 seats.
