India’s Education System Is Best In The World, Minister Lakshmi Hebbalakar

With a rich history of more than five thousand years, India’s education system is the best in the world, said Minister for Women and Child Development, Senior Citizens and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Lakshmi Hebbalakar.

She was speaking at the District Level Teacher’s Day programme under the auspices of District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Education Department.

Doctors, Engineers and Scientists educated in our country are in great demand in the world. The main reason for this is the teachers. Every parent wants their child to get higher education. Even a teacher wants all the children in his class to be academic achievers. That’s why in our culture Guru Sakshat Parabrahma, Teachers have been given highest status, she said.

Education should be a continuous flow of water. It should not  become stagnant water. Government is always in favour of teachers. After Independence, the country’s education has continued to develop. The Government is committed to filling up the vacant posts of teachers as per the wishes of the people, she said.

Public Works and District In-charge Minister Satish Jarakiholi, Legislative Council Member Channaraja Hattiholi, City North Constituency MLA Asif Seth, officials of various departments and teachers were present.

The best teacher award was presented in the programme. On this occasion, meritorious and retired teachers were felicitated.
