Choreographer-turned-actor-director Lawrence Raghavendra’s highly-anticipated horror drama, Chandramukhi 2, is set to release on September 15. Lawrence has been actively promoting the movie, engaging with various media outlets. In a recent interview, Lawrence disclosed an interesting tidbit about his career. He revealed that director Lokesh Kanagaraj had originally approached him for the role of Santhanam, a character originally portrayed by Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi in Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film, Vikram. However, Lawrence had to decline the offer because he believed that the amount of gore and violence associated with Santhanam’s character wouldn’t have been suitable for family audiences and children. Nevertheless, Lawrence and Lokesh Kanagaraj are set to collaborate on an upcoming project. The film’s story and screenplay will be crafted by Lokesh, with frequent collaborator Rathna Kumar taking the director’s chair. Lokesh will also produce the film, and shooting is expected to commence in October. This exciting partnership promises a new addition to the world of Tamil cinema, leaving fans eager to see what the duo has in store for audiences.
