The hurdles attached to the mass marriage slated to be held regularly at Male Mahadeshwara Hill have been removed. The mass marriage, which was scheduled to take place on August 23 and 28 at Male Mahadeshwara Hill  was postponed due to some reasons. The seven couples got married in a simple ceremony at Salur Mutt on Monday.
Now, the Male Mahadeshwara Hill Authority has announced that the mass marriage will be held on September 25. Already 65 couples have registered for marriage and another 35 couples are allowed to register their names. The 2-gram gold thali, which was given free of cost to a bride for mass marriage, has been increased to 4 grams. Â Â District in-charge Minister K Venkatesh will participate in the mass marriage, Secretary of the Authority, Saraswathi said in a statement.
