Former Minister Eshwarappa has said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is an expert in defection in Karnataka. Speaking to media persons in the city, he said, Siddaramaiah, has no right to talk about defections.
Earlier, 17 MLAs had resigned and joined the BJP, saying the Congress was not in good governance. In the Assembly, Siddaramaiah had said that the 17 MLAs who had defected will not be brought back to the party as it is true that the sun and the moon exist. Why have Congress leaders gone to the house of three-time MLA ST Somashekar. According to exit polls, the BJP is likely to win 23 seats in the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Congress is not sleeping because of this. Will there be this government in the state when 23 seats are won by BJP. We don’t want to invite anyone to the party, Congress MLAs will go in different directions, they will not stay in the party.
Recently, Minister Muniyappa had said that after two-and-a-half years, all the old ones should give up their ministerial posts. Senior Congress leader and former minister Basavaraj Rayareddy also said that corruption is taking place in the state. He had said that a transfer racket was going on. The Congress government has been in power for three months now. Let there be Lok Sabha elections, then look at their condition, Eshwarappa said.Reacting to DK Shivakumar’s statement that the opposition parties had raised the contractor issue against the government, he said, DK Shivakumar has been making statements as if he is the CM since the day he became the Deputy CM. He has the power to investigate all departments, he said.
