A 27-year-old individual from Uttar Pradesh, who had arrived from Nairobi via Sharjah, was apprehended by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) at Kozhikode airport in Kerala for carrying drugs valued at Rs 44 crore. The arrest took place late on Monday night immediately after the man’s arrival. Subsequent to a comprehensive examination, DRI officials discovered a total of 3.4 kilograms of cocaine and 1.3 kilograms of heroin concealed in his baggage. The drugs were ingeniously hidden within shoes and purses. In the open market, the seized drugs are estimated to be worth Rs 44 crore.
