PSG stun Barcelona with late Champions League win

Paris Saint-Germain sealed a dramatic 2-1 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League, thanks to Goncalo Ramos’ last-minute strike at the Monjuic Stadium. The result marked PSG’s third straight away win over Barcelona, a first in European history.

Barcelona began brightly, creating early chances through Ferran Torres. After being denied twice, Torres finally broke through in the 19th minute, converting a Marcus Rashford cross for the opener. PSG responded well, forcing goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny into action. Their persistence paid off in the 38th minute when Nuno Mendes stormed down the left and set up Senny Mayulu, who calmly slotted home his first goal in the competition.

The second half produced end-to-end action. PSG captain Achraf Hakimi was exceptional, making crucial defensive blocks while pushing forward in attack. Dani Olmo nearly restored Barcelona’s lead, but Hakimi’s goal-line clearance saved Paris. Substitute Lee Kang-in almost turned the game with a dazzling run, only to see his effort bounce off the post.

As the clock ticked towards stoppage time, PSG found their breakthrough. Hakimi delivered a precise cross, and Ramos, introduced from the bench, fired home the decisive goal in the 90th minute to silence the home crowd and send the traveling Parisian fans into wild celebrations.

The victory pushed PSG to third place in their group, while Barcelona were left frustrated after missing several key opportunities. The thrilling contest reinforced PSG’s growing reputation as one of Europe’s most resilient teams on the road.
